Create an "Essence Board" and Make 2015 Your Best Year EVER!
A couple of years ago, I got together with some Law of Attraction friends toward the end of December, and our discussion naturally wandered to what we wanted to manifest in the coming year. The subject of vision boards was brought up, but I was concerned that if I got too specific about what I wanted, it might stir up some resistance and limit my ability to actually manifest it.
Being the brainstorming queen that I am, the next morning as I was playing around with the ideas we'd discussed I realized the answer I was looking for was to create an Essence Board that expressed the emotional essence of what I wanted to experience in the following year.
So I asked myself these two very important questions:
What are the primary feelings I want to focus on in the coming year?
joy
ease
inspiration
happiness
What Law of Attraction principles do I want to know, embody, and experience emotionally?
all is well
I allow through my clarity offocus
my job is to relax and trust
life is easy when I'm happy and flowing with life
To create a traditional vision board I'd put images of bestselling books, money, a lovely home, and more on it, but even simply thinking about those things felt like pressure.
There's a saying in business, "Don't work hard, work smart." That applies to working with the Law of Attraction, as well. What working smart looks like when working with this universal law is focusing on feeling good, andidentifying the essence of what I want so I can live it.
To me the "essence" I'm trying to identify is twofold:
the feelings I want to feel, including the feelings I want my "stuff" to give me: happiness, freedom, and fun
the principles and emotional practices I want to know, embody, and live more deeply on a moment-to-moment basis
When I'm living the essence, or essential qualities, of who I am in my deepest being and what I want, everything else flows to me easily. To paraphrase a well known verse: Seek ye first the essence of life, and all good things shall naturally follow.
Your Essence Board is a powerful reminder of who you already and always are, and when you look at it and live it daily it will multiply the good in your life!
Creating an Essence Board
Gather together:
the good feeling words you want to focus on in the coming year
the principles and emotional practices you'd like to embody
images that contain or illustrate these words or ideas
You can either create this with paper, poster board, and glue, or create an image on your computer, which is a lot easier. When your Essence Boardis a computer graphic you can use it as your desktop image, as well as print it out and put it on your desk, wall, or refridgerator. You can also shrink the image down to wallet (or purse) size, print it out, and laminate it so you can carry it with you, and see it whenever the opportunity or need for a reminder arises.
Last year, I happened to be ordering a few things through VistaPrint in December, so had them put my three main feeling words for 2014 on a keychain.
An Essence Board is a living thing. It's purpose is to focus your thoughts and emotions, and inspire you in a myriad of ways. When you let it percolate within you, you begin more consciously embodying the feelings and truths it contains. You'll also dive more deeply into the feelings and ideas you've chosen to see if you want to refine or redirect your focus.
What are the primary emotions, principles and ideas you want to focus on in 2015?
What do you want on your Essence Board?
Have fun creating your own Essence Board!!!
